Knowledge of mathematics and combinatorics is crucial to the design of combinatorial algorithms. Conversely, questions or concepts arising in the applications sometimes give rise to interesting mathematical problems, or can be used to solve mathematical problems. Hence, any type of interaction between the discrete mathematics and the computer science communities is beneficial to both groups and must be encouraged.
The University of North Texas will host a workshop titled, Algorithms, Combinatorics, and Geometry. The workshop is scheduled for November 29, 2007 through December 1, 2007 and is supported by the National Science Foundation and the University of North Texas.
The Workshop will be held in room B155 at Research Park (College of Engineering).
